For financial flexibility, open a Trade a Rate CD and if the interest rate increases during the term of your CD, you have a one-time opportunity to trade up to a higher interest rate during the initial term of the CD.
Money Market Gold
Maintain an average monthly balance of $2,500 to earn interest and pay no service fee. This account offers free checks, plus three checks and three preauthorized, automatic or telephone transfers per monthly statement cycle.
CDARS
CDARS is the Certifcate of Deposit Account Registry Service. It is an easy and convenient way to access full FDIC insurance on large deposits because it involves one bank, one rate and one statement. Your large deposit is broken into smaller amounts and placed with other banks in the CDARS network. Those banks issue CDs in amounts under the standard FDIC insurance maximum, so that your entire investment is eligible for FDIC insurance. You earn one rate on your entire investment and receive one regular statement listing all of your CDs, along with their issuing banks, maturity dates, interest earned, and other details.
