This year, our Alma locations will again be participating in a Community Food Drive. The drive begins on Monday, October 24th, and runs through Friday, November 11th. All food collected is distributed to food pantries in the local communities that our bank serves.
Last year, the offices of Firstbank - Alma raised over 2,950.68 pounds of food! Some of the benefitting organizations were East Washington United Brethren Church, Comission on Aging, Salvation Army, Merrill Community Sharing Project, Community Food Basket Program, and Montcalm County Baby Pantry.

Firstbank's very own camel, Firstbank Fiona, won two separate awards at the Merrill Farm Fest. Decorated by our Merrill Assistant Branch Manager, Julie Goss, Fiona won the Best Dressed award!
In addition to being the best dressed, Fiona was chosen as the overall champion in the camel races. In order to win the came race, Fiona was the most bet on camel and raised the most money out of all of the camels. Way to go, Fiona!

Firstbank-Cadillac was a sponsor of “The American Veterans Traveling Tribute” which included an 80% replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall. The Wall passed the downtown office on Wednesday, August 3rd escorted by an estimated 400-600 motorcycles on the way to the Cadillac City Park. There were displays in honor of those who have given their lives in the defense of freedom from all major conflicts, as well as a tribute to those who died on 9/11.
